BOILER TUBE EGG TIMERS
A genuine relic from the Age of Steam. Re-engineered from an original boiler tube of GWR loco No: 4253. Cleaned, painted and boxed they look very good as kitchen ornaments and are certainly something different. They are approx. 120mm high.

4253 at Rolvenden Works

Christine King is the local artist in residence at Northiam Station where she produces painting of many subjects including interesting views of KESR. This unusual print depicts 4253 at the start of its restoration. Having arrived at Rolvenden on June 11th 2011, work started on dismantling late July. Here the cab has been removed along with buffers. The above photo has not done justice to the rich atmosphere of the print! Measuring 14 inches by 12 inches, prints are available at £15 unmounted and £25 mounted. The original can be viewed at Northiam Station, price £175

Alison Griffin has been painting professionally for over 25 years. She is well known for her miniature paintings of interiors, gardens and country scenes, and works almost entirely in acrylic on board. She regularly exhibits at the Francis Iles Gallery in Rochester, Kent. The Llewellyn Alexander Gallery, London, the Society of Women Artists, London, and with the Royal Society of Miniature Artists, Sculptors & Gravers at the Mall Galleries, London. She has won numerous awards with the RMS and in 2007 she won the prestigious Gold Bowl which is considered the World’s top award for miniature art. Her works can be found in many private collections and her paintings have been reproduced as Limited Fine Art prints and as greetings cards by several card companies including Medici and Lings. In addition she has previously produced a range of Christmas cards for the Kent & East Sussex Railway.
